Cohorta

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Version 2.1 - published 2 October 2026

Cohorta subscriptions are sold by Cohorta Ltd, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (company number 17376110). This policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Nothing in it reduces your rights under UK consumer law.

If you accept this version (2.1) when you signed up, this policy applies from that day. If you signed up under an earlier version, it applies from 16 October 2026 or from the day you accept it in the app, whichever is later. Until then, the version you agreed to (v1.0, 22 July 2026) still applies.

1. The subscription

Cohorta membership is a single monthly subscription: £4.99 per month after your free period, automatically renewing each month until cancelled.

If you were a member before subscriptions started, you get 14 days free from the day you subscribe, with your first payment on day 15. New joiners get 30 days free from sign-up, with their first payment on day 31.

You are not charged when you sign up, and we will never take a payment sooner than 14 days after you subscribe. Your first-charge date is shown when you subscribe.

You subscribe on the Cohorta website; your payment method is collected at sign-up and payment is processed by Stripe. "Cohorta" is the seller shown on your statement. There is no App Store or Google Play billing.

The free period applies once per person (first-time customers only). Nothing is charged during the free period.

We remind you 3 days before your first payment, by email, and in the app and by push where you have them turned on.

2. Cancelling

  • You can cancel at any time, online, from your account on the Cohorta website (there is a link in the app). You do not need to give a reason.
  • If you cancel during your free period, you are never charged.
  • If you cancel after your free period, cancellation stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Deleting your account also ends your subscription; it does not automatically refund a payment already taken (see section 3).

3. Your statutory cooling-off right (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013)

  • As a UK consumer buying a service at a distance, you have a legal right to cancel your contract with us within 14 days of the day you subscribe (for new joiners, the day you sign up), without giving a reason.
  • When you sign up you expressly request that we begin supplying the Service straight away, so you can use Cohorta during the cancellation period. Because we take no payment for at least 14 days after you subscribe, a member who cancels inside the 14-day cooling-off period has paid nothing and there is nothing to refund. You will not be charged.
  • To exercise this right, tell us by any clear statement before the 14 days end: email support@cohorta.me, cancel from your account, or use the model cancellation form below.

Model cancellation form

You can use this form, but you don't have to:

To: Cohorta Ltd, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX (support@cohorta.me)

I/We hereby give notice that I/We cancel my/our contract for the supply of the following service: the Cohorta subscription.

Ordered on (date you subscribed): [date] Name of consumer(s): [your name] Address of consumer(s): [your address] Email on the account: [email] Signature of consumer(s) (only if this form is notified on paper): [signature] Date: [date]

4. Refunds generally

  • Beyond section 3, subscription payments are final: cancelling stops future charges rather than refunding past ones.
  • Billing errors: genuine duplicate charges, charges after a timely cancellation, or other billing mistakes are refunded in full. Contact us with your receipt.
  • Refunds are made by Stripe to the original payment method, normally within 5–10 working days.
  • Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights where a service is faulty or not as described.

5. Price changes

If the subscription price changes, existing subscribers are told at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, and can cancel before it applies. Continuing after the notice period means the new price applies from your next renewal.

6. Chargebacks

Raising a chargeback does not by itself break our Terms. If a chargeback is part of fraud or another serious breach, we may ban the account under section 13 of our Terms.

7. Contact

For billing, cancellation and refund requests, email support@cohorta.me from the email address on your account.
