Cohorta

Cookie Policy

Version 3.0 - effective 2 October 2026

Cohorta is provided by Cohorta Ltd, registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom (company number 17376110). Read this policy with our Privacy Policy.

1. About cookies

Cookies and similar technologies (including localStorage and sessionStorage) are small files or records stored on your device when you use a website or app. We use them to run the Service, remember your choices, and, only with your consent, understand how the Service is used.

2. Where this policy applies

This policy applies to the Cohorta website, the Cohorta member web app, any Cohorta phone app, and our support site.

3. Cookie categories

  • Strictly necessary (essential): needed to run the Service: keeping you signed in, security, processing payments, and remembering your cookie choices. These do not require consent.
  • Analytics: help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google. Analytics runs only if you consent.
  • Marketing: we do not use any marketing cookies. Marketing cookies are used to measure or deliver advertising. This category is reserved in case we ever do, and it would only run with your consent.

4. The cookies we use

  • Essential: your sign-in / session cookie; the cohorta_consent record of your cookie choices; Stripe cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention.
  • Analytics (consent only): Google Analytics 4 (GA4), set only after you consent to analytics. Google may process analytics data outside the UK (including in the United States); those transfers are covered by the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy. Firebase (Google) supports our app infrastructure.
  • Marketing: none.

5. Your choices and consent

When you first visit (or after we materially change this policy) you will see a cookie banner where you can Accept all, Reject all, or Manage preferences. We do not set any non-essential cookies or storage until you consent. Nothing tracks you before you say yes, and analytics is never pre-ticked.

You can change your choices at any time via the cookie preferences centre (in the website footer or app settings). You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some essential features may not work if you do.

6. Third parties and how long cookies last

Some cookies last only for your session; others persist for a set period shown in the preferences centre. Some are set by third parties we use: currently Google (Google Analytics / Firebase) and Stripe (payments). We do not use advertising or marketing trackers.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version and date are shown above, and we will ask for consent again if we make material changes.
